ABOUT US

 The Virginia Sod Growers Association is a professional trade organization representing sod producers across the Commonwealth of Virginia. Established in 1956, VSGA has supported the sod production industry for nearly seven decades by promoting high-quality turfgrass, fostering collaboration among growers, and advocating for sound production and environmental stewardship.

VSGA works closely with the Virginia Tech Turfgrass Research Team to support applied research, share science-based management practices, and strengthen the connection between on-farm production and university-driven innovation. Through this partnership, the association helps ensure members have access to leading-edge turfgrass science, education, and extension resources that benefit home lawns, sports fields, golf courses, and green spaces throughout Virginia.
